
Consumption of diet drinks has increased considerably in the past few decades: from 3% in 1965 to 20% in 2010. It means that about 20% of the U.S. population aged 2 years and over consumes diet drinks on a given day - from 10% and 18% for teenagers to 26% and 28% for 40-50 year old males and females, respectively, respectively.
