Picture
dry mouth, abnormal reduction of saliva due to medication, disease, or medical therapy. Could be improved with drinking more water, avoiding crunchy foods and eating more chewy foods or sugarless gum and chewing thoroughly to stimulate the flow of saliva, avoiding acidic foods and beverages, mint, alcohol, caffeine, spice, and restricting sugar. Snoring and breathing with open mouth also can contribute to the problem. Medical causes include autoimmune disease Sjogren's syndrome, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, HIV/AIDS, anxiety disorders and depression.
