State of Zombiness

Comments

Zombiness
Feeling zombish or like a zombie is a feeling of being tired, weary, fatiqued, lacking energy, sleepy and lethargic, existing and moving independently of physical reality and the brain. It can be accompanied by depression or apathy.

The use of smartphones
and other distracting devices leads to decreased situational awareness that can be also described as zombiness.

In Haitian folklore zombie is a dead body animated by magic. The term came from observation of wandering mentally ill people with a chronic schizophrenic illness, brain damage or learning disability. Schizogenesis may account for some of the psychological aspects of zombification and a state of catatonia.
